Dr. Kristin Cavanah Mirda, DMD was born and raised in North Palm Beach, Florida where she grew up in an environment that inspired and paved a way to her career in pediatrics. Her love for kids stems from many years of experience as a swimming instructor, where she developed the confidence to earn the trust and respect of any child regardless of personality type. Her energy and loving personality makes dental visits extremely fun and entertaining for children.
After swimming for the University of Richmond and earning BS degrees in Biology and Communication, Dr. Kristin moved back to sweet home Florida to complete her doctorate of dental medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. While at Nova, Dr. Kristin participated in various missions, including trips to India and Jamaica where she provided dental support to underprivileged communities. Dr. Kristin would fulfill her dream by attending University of Florida’s Pediatric Dentistry residency. During residency, she won the 2008 AAPD Healthy Smiles Healthy Children National Research Award. Today, Dr. Kristin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD).
